Mission Statement
Compost Auraria serves Auraria Campus and its neighboring communities by advocating the practice of composting, both on and off campus, as a critical measure for a sustainable society.
Who We Are
We are a group of conscious and active student volunteers representing all three insitutions on Auraria campus. Among us are undergraduates, graduates, community members, compost enthusiasts, activists, avid gardeners and more who are working for a campus-wide composting program on Auraria campus! Anyone from campus is encouraged to join us!
What We Do
Over the past year or so, the majority of our efforts have been centered around obtaining approval and funding for the Pilot Composting Program in the Tivoli. Additionally, we conduct composting and vermicomposting classes, take field trips to places like landfills and urban farms, host movie screenings and other educational events, and advocate for composting on campus and in our communities.
